Whether you're a lifer or a washashore, Cape Cod Life's 2010 Annual Guide is an invaluable resource for the year to come on the Cape and Islands.

From Falmouth to Provincetown and everywhere in between, we have the inside scoop to all of the best attractions, activities, restaurants, and local lore that our beloved region has to offer. And this year, we've decided to have the residents who know their towns best explain their love of the Cape through a series of riveting interviews accompanied by Dan Cutrona's stunning portraits. As an added bonus, capecodlife.com features a few extended versions of these interviews with tons of incredible anecdotes and insight into what makes the Cape a land like no other.

As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments sections beneath each story. Be sure to keep an eye on our Life and Times blog, our frequently updated home for the latest happenings on the Cape, our ruminations on life at Life, and much more. And stay tuned: Big things are coming in 2010.

Happy New Year!--The Editors

Cape Cod Home's 2010 Annual Source Book rings in the New Year right with a
look at awe-inspiring home and garden projects throughout the Cape and
Islands. We visit a Manhattan couple's two-acre Nantucket refuge and spend
time at a West Indies-inspired summer in Chilmark with glorious views of
the Atlantic. Architect Steve Hart and M. Duffany Builders craft a
Falmouth home to take full advantage of its surroundings while maintaining
its decidedly New England aesthetics. Sarah Dunbar delightfully recounts
the saga of clearing and planting her garden in Chatham. Lastly, we take a
peek at Kermit and Jeanne Eaton's Chatham cottage, restored to its
original vibrancy through the efforts of architect Ned Collins and Rick
Roy Construction of Harwich.

And to help get you started with your own home and garden projects, take a
look at our 2010 Source Book. This compendium, which features the region's
best in everything from builders to interior designers to financial and
real estate services, is sure to help point you in the right direction.

Please leave us your feedback in the comments sections beneath each story,
or drop us a line at editorial@capecodlife.com.  And here's to a wonderful 2010.
